Tailoring the Chemical Structure of Cellulose Nanocrystals by Amine Functionalization

چکیده

The surface functionalization of cellulose nanocrystals is presently considered a useful and straightforward tool for accessing very reliable biocompatible biodegradable nanostructures with tailored physical chemical properties. However, to date the fine characterization appendages introduced onto remains challenge, due low sensitivity displayed by most common techniques towards functionalization. In this paper, we demonstrate easy aliphatic aromatic amines, demonstrating tunability their properties in dependence on selected functionality. Then, apply colloidal suspensions modified 1H-NMR analysis elucidate structure. To best our knowledge, first report where such investigation was performed presenting both reducing end modification. These results involve interesting implications fields Cultural Heritage Materials Chemistry.
